Seven card stud high low eight or better is a game that is very different from regular holdem.
Unlike holdem there are no community cards, and every player has four of hes seven cards exposed when playing a hand.
There are more betting rounds in 7 card stud and alot more to keep track on, with so many exposed cards. And it is important to remember all the exposed cards that your opponents folds, since this is very important when figuring out your outs.

As if 7 card stud wasent complicated enough, when playing 7 card stud high low, there are even more factors to take into consideration. When entering a pot you have to figure out if you got a chance to win both the high hand, and the low hand, or if you are only drawing to hit one of them.
When you play to win only one of them, you will be a loosing player in the long run.

All players at the table starts with 3 cards each. Two pocket cards and one exposed card. Then the first round of bitting starts. Then all players get the 4^th card which is also exposed and then there is another round of bitting, Etc. The 7^th card i a hole card, so you end up with 3 hole cards, and 4 exposed cards.
A qualifying low hand is 5 different cards between A-8.

So what is a good starting hand in 7 stud high low! Apart from rolled up (three of a kind)
